Cookie banner set up cleanly — regardless of which CMP. We implement and configure so your Google Ads tracking keeps delivering usable signals despite GDPR.

Already have Cookiebot, Usercentrics or Borlabs? We get it productive and integrate Consent Mode v2 cleanly. Don't have anything yet? We bring the licence. Either way it runs — working, documented, transferable.

Delivery in 1-2 weeks · fixed price · CMP-agnostic.

Implementation process

Two weeks. CMP setup + tracking consent + handover.

  1. Week 1 · Day 1-3

    Inventory + CMP choice

We map which tags + cookies + third-party scripts run on your site. If you already use a CMP (Cookiebot, Usercentrics, Borlabs, ...), we work with it. If not: we bring a licence or configure a free setup.

  2. Week 1 · Day 4-7

Banner config + Consent Mode v2

We configure the CMP to your tag landscape: categories (essential / statistics / marketing), texts, refusal logic. Google Consent Mode v2 activated in GTM. Tags adjusted to only fire on documented consent.

  3. Week 2

    Test, launch + docs

QA with all consent combinations in preview mode. Live launch with 48h monitoring. Handover: CMP admin doc, tag overview, maintenance guide, privacy text suggestions for your lawyer.

How we implement

CMP-agnostic. Three principles.

01

Classification first

Every tag, every cookie, every third-party script gets a category: essential / statistics / marketing. Only then do we configure the banner. Whoever skips this builds a banner that doesn't know what to gate.

02

Banner respects user choice

Refuse button equally prominent as accept. No dark patterns. But: properly polished UI — consent rate doesn't drop from clarity, it drops from ugly banners. Configurable in any major CMP.

03

Google Consent Mode v2 properly implemented

Conversion Modelling active, without tags firing before consent. On refusal, aggregation runs instead of 0% data. Regardless of CMP — the GTM logic behind it is always the same.

Fixed price

Project-based. Two tiers.

What may additionally apply

If you don't have a CMP yet: optional licence via us from €15/month (Cookiebot Small) or €0 for Borlabs Free on WordPress. If you keep an existing CMP: no additional licence costs from us. We don't do legal advice — your lawyer signs off the texts.

CMP choice

Free: your existing or licence via us.

What you don't get

Anti-bullshit guarantee.

What's wrong in the consent market — and we explicitly don't do:

No "only one CMP works" sales pitch

Cookiebot, Usercentrics, Borlabs, Iubenda, Klaro, custom — all satisfy GDPR + Consent Mode v2. We recommend based on your platform, budget, and existing tool contracts. Not based on commission.

No dark patterns

Hide the refuse button, accept in bright green, refuse in mouse-grey small — we don't configure such tricks, even if they raise consent rate short-term. First, unethical; second, GDPR-challengeable.

No legal advice

We give privacy text suggestions based on common practice — your lawyer signs off. If you don't have one, we recommend a GDPR-focused lawyer.

No auto-block without configuration

Some CMPs' auto-block mechanisms are blanket — can suffocate legitimate tags. We do hand-built: each tag explicitly assigned, no auto-blocking voodoo.

FAQ

Common Consent Mode questions.

Depends. WordPress + SME: Borlabs Cookie (Pro €39/year). E-commerce + multi-domain: Cookiebot (Premium from €15/mo). Enterprise + compliance requirements: Usercentrics. If you already have one, you usually keep it — switching only pays off for a concrete problem.
If you use Google Ads, GA4 or Floodlight: yes. Since March 2024 required for conversion tracking in the EU. Without it, Smart Bidding gets progressively worse — and since mid-2024 also mandatory for correct audience targeting.
Both work. With Cookiebot/Usercentrics we can provide a licence via our partner account (you pay the licence, we the configuration). With Borlabs WordPress you buy directly — cheap and one-time. We recommend per use case.
Marketing consent typically 35-65% (sites with good trust UX, clear value). Statistics consent typically 55-75%. Whoever promises 95% builds dark patterns — or lies.
Possible — we can take over the migration separately (€500-€1,500 depending on complexity). The GTM Consent Mode configuration largely stays in place, only the banner tool is replaced.
Yes, all three. On Shopify we integrate CMP via theme snippet or official app. On WordPress mostly as a plugin (Borlabs natively; Cookiebot/Usercentrics via official plugin). On custom stacks directly into HTML.

Setup briefing

30 minutes — we clarify CMP + scope.

You explain platform, current setup (if any), tag landscape. I recommend which CMP fits your case and deliver a fixed-price offer within 48h after receiving all necessary info. If your current setup is fine, I'll tell you that too.
