Instead of GA4 standard templates: hand-built tag architecture with named triggers, variables for each conversion action. Clean naming convention so your team can maintain it later.

Consent architecture

Own cookie banner (no Cookiebot lock-in), trigger logic that respects what the user chose. GDPR-compliant but not overly pessimistic — Consent Mode with data, not 0% data on refusal.

Server-side tracking (where useful)

For e-commerce, long conversion paths, cross-device scenarios: server-side container via Cloud Run or own infrastructure. iOS-14 losses almost fully reversed — but only where the effort pays off.

What's not included

Ongoing maintenance (tag adjustments when your website changes, new conversion actions etc.) is not in the fixed price. Optional maintenance retainer from €300/month — or your team does it themselves, that's what the handover doc is for.

What other tracking setups do badly — and we explicitly don't:

No Cookiebot lock-in

You aren't tied to a €500/mo consent vendor. We build or integrate a cookie banner you keep — if you want to switch later, you can.

No lock-in to agency GTM

The container runs on your GTM account. You keep admin access. On termination we can cleanly exit — the whole build stays functional.

No GA4 default templates

GA4 has auto-track templates that look like a lot but deliver wrong data. We build hand-crafted tags with clear logic — even though it's more initial effort.

No promises without server-side

Anyone promising "100% iOS-14 recovery" without server-side is lying. Server-side is the only method that genuinely helps — and we only do it when the effort fits your case.

Common tracking questions.

Works for many, but in practice we lose 25-45% of conversion data through consent refusals and iOS-14 tracking gaps. Custom GTM with own consent layer keeps more signal — and Smart Bidding needs every signal it can get.
Not every project. Server-side pays off for: e-commerce with long conversion paths, multi-domain setups, apps with iOS share >40%, brands that need maximum data accuracy. For standard lead-gen, custom GTM browser-side usually suffices.
Fully. We explicitly build opt-in tracking — tags only fire on documented consent. The cookie banner shows clear toggle options, doesn't deny anything hidden, and we anchor privacy policy hooks to your privacy notice.
Yes, and we want that. Handover doc shows: which tag does what, how to add new conversion actions, what shouldn't be touched. Most routine changes are doable by a technically-curious marketer in 30 min.
Custom GTM is platform-agnostic — the setup survives a platform switch (e.g. WP → Shopify). We need to adapt trigger selectors; usually 2-4 hours of work rather than rebuild.
Optional from €300/month — quarterly review, tag updates when website changes, new conversion actions, GTM version updates. Or your team does it, that's what the doc is for.
