What is Google Merchant Center?

Google Merchant Center is the central management platform for your product data at Google. Here you upload your product feed — a structured list with titles, descriptions, prices, images, and availability. Google uses this data for Shopping ads, free product listings in the Shopping tab, and Performance Max campaigns with a feed.

How Does Merchant Center Work?

The product feed is transmitted via file, API, or shop integration (e.g. Shopify, WooCommerce) and updated regularly. Google checks every item for policy compliance and data quality. Key components:

• Linking with Google Ads: Only connecting both accounts enables Shopping campaigns
